Beach Patrol Team Shares Ocean Safety Tips at Beach Haven Library

On July 23rd, the Beach Haven Public Library welcomed two dedicated members of the Beach Haven Beach Patrol, Lieutenant Mike Coler and lifeguard Andy Przekurat for an engaging and informative presentation on beach safety and first response.

The 30-minute session offered attendees a behind-the-scenes look at the vital role lifeguards play in keeping our local beaches safe. From essential rescue equipment to day-to-day beach operations, Mike and Andy shared expert knowledge and personal experiences that underscored the importance of vigilance and preparedness along the shore.

Library guests learned about rip current safety, first responder procedures, and how the Beach Patrol team trains for high-stakes situations. The event not only provided useful tips for beachgoers of all ages but also spotlighted the commitment and courage of the individuals who protect our coastline.
