Food Pantry Hours:

The Food Pantry Currently Needs: Shampoo, Toilet Paper, Chicken Noodle Soup, Tomato Soup, Pasta Sauce, Canned Corn, Baked Beans, Diapers: Size 1, 4, 5, 6

The library has a donation box on the Beach Ave. entrance. You may drop off canned or boxed goods and they will be delivered to the Food Bank.
USABLE EYEGLASSES COLLECTED

We have a box at the Beach Ave. entrance that you may drop off usable eyeglasses. They will be picked up. Then the glasses will be sorted, cleaned, prescription determined, categorized and packaged for distribution.

CANCELED STAMPS FOR WOUNDED VETS

The stamps are used for “hobby therapy” for wounded veterans in more than 130 Veteran’s Administration hospitals. It has been in operation since 1942.
Stamps for the Wounded accepts any U.S. or foreign stamps that are not torn or damaged.
The organization requests you leave at least a quarter-inch margin around the stamp and don’t try to peel or steam the stamp off.

SENIORS & DISABLED RESIDENTS

The Beach Haven Police Department offers an “Operation Safe Call” program to seniors and disabled residents who live alone. The program allows a resident to call in and speak to a representative of the Police Department on a daily basis. If the police do not hear from the resident within the appointed time, a call and/or visit will be made to check on that person. Registration forms for this program may be obtained at Borough Hall or at the Police Department during regular business hours and should be filled out and returned to the Beach Haven Police Department.

WINTER HOUSE CHECK PROGRAM

The Police Dept. has a “House Check” program for properties unoccupied during the off season. Download the form below if you would like the police to conduct checks on your property or have contact information in the event of an emergency. Forms may be dropped off or mailed to Beach Haven Police Dept. 300 Engleside Ave. Beach Haven, NJ 08008.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH
Meetings are held every Friday at 5:00 PM Memorial Day to Labor Day in the Meeting Room of the Beach Haven Public Library. The purpose is to discuss any problems and concerns you may have in your neighborhood and to work on solutions. Many ideas to help improve the quality of life in Beach Haven have come up at these meetings. The Police Department would like your input and looks forward to meeting as many “neighbors” as possible.
